Programmes

Here in Glasgow we focus on three main areas :

Social and Networking

Networking is a fact of life but it doesn’t need to be a chore. Our social and networking programme provides informal networking at relaxed social events and time for ‘networking’ in the bar after our training events. Relax, unwind and meet new contacts. Come along to Thirsty Thursday Drinks first Thursday of the month at The Living Room, 150 St. Vincent St, Glasgow, (free drink vouchers if you’re quick!).

There are regular dinners, conferences and black tie events too, so you’ll be able to get plenty of use out of your kilt or ball gown.

Personal Development

We provide regular training sessions to help you develop leadership, management and coaching skills.

Our members find that getting involved in organising local, national and international events and working on practical projects helps to put these skills into practice – in a sociable, teambuilding atmosphere.

You never know, it might just give you the edge in a competitive job interview or promotion opportunity...

Business and Communication Skills

This includes topics such as negotiation skills, marketing, finance and resolving conflict.

We provide interactive, practical training sessions and workshops to help you build confidence and gather new tools whether you are employed or running your own business.

Our Enterprising Connections programme provides excellent training and a support network aimed at the self-employed and small business owner/managers – or those thinking about taking the plunge and getting into business.

Our Speaking in Public programme provides training on all types of communication and presentation skills aimed at building self confidence. There’s a real competitive edge to debating, for those looking to really stretch themselves.

Glasgow has been a prominent player in European and World competitions, with many wins under our belt!

Community Projects

In addition to these, we work with community projects (such as Linn Park and the Lord Provost’s Procession) and hands-on experience of management for those who get involved in actually running the chamber.
